Coming out of the Bay Area, where most rappers tend to get tossed into the category of a “hyphy rapper,” Dre Huss breaks the mold with his freshman mixtape, hosted by your wifey’s favorite DJ, Ill Will, and DJ Rockstar, Premeditated Success.

Starting his career in rap in 2005, Huss came on to the scene with two other rappers on his team in a group called Stunnaproof. After the breakup of Stunnaproof and dealing with the pressures of rapping and hooping simultaneously, in 2007 Huss decided to switch up his style, create his own lane, and hit it full throttle. With the revamping of his flow and a new image, Dre Huss has put together a compilation of tracks showing off the success that was premeditated just five years ago.
